the hardest part of becoming self aware
you've crossed that line
and they began to care
this is being called to attention
it seems small, but it's worth the mention

and i hope for differences and changes in the patterns i'm perceiving within
and i still will have that knee-jerk feeling sometimes, even though i know whats right and real
and i am reaching out with everything i have
